A dust storm on Sunday is being blamed as the cause of a 15 car pileup accident.  The accident occurred Sunday afternoon when driver visibility was greatly reduced by the dirt and dust in the air. Winds were reported at speeds of over 50 miles per hour at the time of the accident.

The dust storm caused each accident to build upon one another in a chain reaction.  Cars would run into others as they either braked or ran into cars themselves.  Three people were taken to a hospital that is located in Prescott.  The car believed to have caused the accident fled the scene.  The accident caused massive delays and pileups along the highway.
