A man has been sentenced to nearly ten and half years in prison for an accident that took place after the man had been drinking.  The accident was responsible for the death of the passenger inside the vehicle of the drunk driver.

The accident took place on April 22, 2008. The man failed to yield his vehicle to a large tractor-rig.  When the two collided, the man was seriously injured and his passenger died.  An investigation of the accident and a sample of the man's blood alcohol content was nearly double the legal limit.

The man is in this country illegally, and after he serves his prison term he will be deported.

I think that 10.5 year is suitable for such a dangerous crime. People have become too familar with alcohol and forgot how dangerous it is when you combine it with cars.
