A motorcyclist has been killed on Arizona Highway 64 after hitting an SUV that was operated by a William's police officer.

The police officer was attempting to make a U-turn when the motorcycle struck the side door of the SUV.  Although the motorcyclist was wearing a helmet,  he was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

The officer was taken to a local area hospital to be treated for his injuries.

The highway was closed as an investigation took place and to remove the debris from the road.

james innes the motorcyclist was not a direct friend of ours but his wife is this avoidable accident would not have happened if the young officer acted more like a profesionable and not starskey and hutch. I hope the williams police dept takes responsabilty for this tragic mistake and compensates our friend for her loss
