The Florida Associated Press reports that a solder died Sunday after a wreck on base last week. The 36-year-old man was riding his motorcycle when he crashed into a van. The Arizona Daily Star reports that, "[he] was taken to Sierra Vista
Regional Health Center before being flown to University Medical
Center in Tucson."

The soldier has been identified as Second Lieutenant Mark J. Pincek. The Miami man was training at Fort Huachuca. According to the Florida Associated Press, "Pincek was attending the military intelligence basic officer leadership
course at the base, home to the Army's intelligence center."

"A memorial service for Pincek is tentatively planned for
Thursday evening at the Main Post Chapel," according to The Arizona Daily Star. 

Authorities are still investigating the tragic accident.
